Modern Control Engineering: What is it?

Modern control engineering is a branch of engineering where high order differential equations are converted to first-order differential equations. These equations are solved in the same way as the vector method. By doing so, many complexities in solving high order differential equations are solved.

These are implemented in multiple input multiple output systems where analysis is not possible in the frequency domain. Nonlinearities with many variables can be solved by the modern method. State-space vectors, and other types of vectors like Eigenvalues, Eigen Vectors belong to this category. State variables denote the input, output, and system variables.
